Whoopi Goldberg is at it again, speaking about things she just doesn’t understand. On Monday, Goldberg exclaimed that the Archbishop of San Francisco, Salvatore Cordileone, had no right to refuse Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi Holy Communion because of her stance on abortion. Goldberg as usual, doesn’t have her facts straight, as the Archbishop’s very job and right, is to refuse Communion if he so chooses. Goldberg is gaslighting as usual, and no one is surprised. Just another Hollywood elitist, like most of her co-hosts on The View, who spew blanket nonsense, that’s not based in facts.
Whoopi Goldberg the Grandstander
In the last few weeks, Goldberg has made some ludicrous accusations and claims around the issue of Roe v Wade. From claims that she was tripping over women giving themselves abortions in public restrooms, defending Chicago’s mayor Lori Lightfoot’s “call to arms”, for claiming they, the republicans, were coming for the LGBTQ community if Roe v Wade was overturned, to implying that a baby has no rights in the womb, because the mother has the sole right to kill or not kill her baby. Now Goldberg is claiming that an Archbishop has no authority to take someone’s right to Holy Communion away.
Abortion is a Crime Against Human Life
Holy Communion—also known as the Lord’s Supper or the Eucharist—is a sacrament in Christianity, meaning that it is a visible and tangible means of God’s grace that has been instituted by Jesus Christ. In the Catholic faith, life begins at conception.
“The Catholic Church teaches that abortion is “a crime against human life,” “constitutes a grave offense” and that a person who obtains an abortion is automatically excommunicated from the Catholic Church.”
Archbishop Cordileone has communicated with Pelosi in the past on her pro choice stance on abortion as a practicing catholic. He sent a final letter, which prohibited Pelosi from receiving Holy Communion based on her “manifestly grave sin”.
“A Catholic legislator who supports procured abortion, after knowing the teaching of the Church, commits a manifestly grave sin which is a cause of most serious scandal to others. Therefore, universal Church law provides that such persons ‘are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.”
Murderers Should Live but Unborn Babies Should Die
Nancy Pelosi is pro-choice when it comes to abortion, and therefore, via her political policies, is against the teachings of Jesus Christ. Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone’s duty is to protect the sacraments, and he has done that by refusing Holy Communion to Nancy Pelosi…it’s in his very job description to do so. Nancy Pelosi of course tried to come out and defend her stance on abortion by using the death penalty as an example. She stated that the Catholic Church is against the death penalty as she is, but they haven’t refused communion to any one in support of the death penalty. That’s rich. Nancy Pelosi is for allowing murderers in jail to live, but believes a woman can commit murder by killing her unborn child. You just can’t make up this kind of logic.

Goldberg Needs to Respect Archbishop Cordileone’s Decision
Whoopi’s lack of understanding of how the the Catholic Church operates was apparent, as she stumbled through prepared cue cards, and tried to piece together a coherent sentence on Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone’s decision to ban Nancy Pelosi from Holy Communion. Whoopi Goldberg is obviously very passionate about the subject of abortion, having been through one herself, and that’s understandable. What’s not excusable, is her refusal to acknowledge how perverted abortion has become.
We Have Enabled Abortion as a Behavior
Abortion has been big business through entities like Planned Parenthood. 63 million babies have been killed since Roe v Wade. Is Whoopi going to tell us that all of those were medical emergencies or due to extenuating circumstances like rape? No, because the majority of abortions are done out of convenience, which Whoopi Goldberg has acknowledged in the past. The Archbishop of San Francisco had every right to do what he did, and he should be applauded. Pope Francis should take a stand on this issue as well, and publicly support his Archbishops in making those kinds of decisions. We have enabled abortion as a behavior that is acceptable, and that is entirely unacceptable.
