It makes one wonder sometimes, whether or not the Biden administration knows what one hand is doing from the other. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have Fauci go on various mainstream media news outlets, and talk about masking up again, is obviously not paying attention to the polling or listening to the average American. But, be that as it may be, Fauci’s back, and he’s been talking up the possibility of falling back to prevention measures such as mask wearing. His evidence is the BA.2 sub variant strain of Omicron dubbed stealth Omicron, because of its elusiveness in looking similar to the Delta variant. This variant of Omicron has seen a surge in cases in Europe and the United Kingdom, but is less lethal than its sister variants, but more transmissible. In an election year, moving back to nationally mandating masks, would not poll well for Democrats, who are already looking at a red wave the likes we saw in 2010, or even 1994.

Americans Won’t Tolerate More Mandates
Anthony Fauci reemerged from wherever it was that he was hiding, and bounced from news outlet to news outlet claiming the American people need to be flexible concerning a possible new surge in Covid cases.
“We have to be careful that if we do see a surge as a result of that, that we’re flexible enough to reinstitute the kinds of interventions that could be necessary to stop an additional surge. That could mean a return of mandatory masking , especially in areas of high transmission.”
The same old playbook the Democrats have used for Covid over the past two years is getting predictable, and the American people are not going to fall for it this time. The Democrats and the mainstream media are going to ramp up the hysteria over this latest variant, trying to stoke fears about this variant that are no longer necessary. 70% of the population agrees that Covid is here to stay, and we have to learn deal with it, while more than 63% of parents want Biden to end all Covid mandates altogether. While countries across the globe are lifting all Covid restrictions on the government and local levels, our Federal government looks like a fool, with mask requirements required for all Federal employees. But if Biden and the CDC think they are going to get away with mandating masks again, because of another non life threatening sub variant, they’ve got another thing coming. In addition, if blue States like New Jersey, New York, and Delaware, move backwards and reinstitute mask mandates, Governors like Kathy Hochul won’t be immune to this Red Wave, and will lose in November.

There Will be a Bloodbath in November
The Biden administration should reign Fauci back in, and tell him to stop talking about mask mandates. Biden is polling bad across the board, and he doesn’t need another reason to bring his numbers down even further. It is entirely possible, however, that the Biden administration is just trying to create any kind of distraction, from all the other missteps Biden is making domestically and internationally, to see what sticks. The pandemic is over, and the one size fits all approach to Covid does not work. The Federal vaccine mandates are being struck down by the courts, and all but Hawaii, has rescinded their mask mandates. Should there be another Covid surge, we should focus solely on the most vulnerable like the elderly and those that have a comorbidity, and not masking up. With the midterms just under 8 months away, the Democrats and President Biden can’t afford to lose more polling ground than they already have. Maybe they’ll try and blame the next surge on the war in Ukraine and Putin…would we be surprised?
