School mask mandates are here to stay in New York, according to an update that Governor Kathy Hochul will be announcing Wednesday. Despite growing tensions across the country around ineffective masking of kids in schools, and 4 Democratic States cancelling their indoor and school mask mandates, Kathy Hochul is being irrationally stubborn. Hochul, along with her other cohorts in other blue States, are playing politics with kids lives. Meanwhile, in Chicago, Illinois, students have had walkouts, protesting the mask mandates, as Governor J.B. Pritzker vows to appeal a courts stay of his school mask mandate orders. While everyone except schools will be able to enjoy being maskless once again, it’s becoming increasingly clearer, that Governors like Kathy Hochul, J.B. Pritzker, and Gavin Newsom, care more about their control over our students, and parents’ rights, than the actual safety of our kids. As the pandemic disappears, and more and more blue States follow suit with ending these ridiculous mandates, the pressure will be on for Governors like Hochul and Newsom, to relinquish their power in an election year.
Hochul Thinks She’s Being Politically Savvy
It is quite apparent that the masking of children is no longer needed in New York Schools. With the indoor business mandate set to expire this Thursday, whether you’re vaccinated or not, why do we need to keep the school mask mandate? Governor Hochul hasn’t given any clear concise answers as to why, other than she wants to get to that point, continue to look at the metrics, and get more kids vaccinated. The metrics are clear. There was 0 reported deaths in New York State as of February 6th, as well as the surrounding States of Delaware, Connecticut, and New Jersey. In New York City, the infection positivity rates in students dipped below 1%. The cases of infections has dropped by 50%, and continues to nosedive. There is no sane or logical reason to continue to mask the least vulnerable in New York schools, while you’re letting everyone around them enjoy the freedoms of being maskless. It’s almost like Hochul wants to continue to mask our kids in some kind of selfish perpetuity.
Today, a group of us from Vernon Hills HS in District 128 arrived at school without masks protesting the mandate. Here is our statement on the event. We encourage students from other districts to stand with us. Thank you to our parents for your support. #UnmaskOurStudents #D128 pic.twitter.com/jWSd8ysO2K

Freedom is Becoming Popular Across the Globe
Meanwhile, there is growing tensions across the country to stop the mandates and get back to some semblance of normalcy. Parents, kids, and businesses, all across the country are making themselves heard in their respective States, and want an end to two years of restrictions. In Nearby Chicago area high schools Vernon Hills and Libertyville, students walked out and protested the mask mandates. In New York State, Massachusetts, and Oregon, there are moms running for public office to defeat the tyrannical rule of their opponents. Then there are the increasing amount of protesters around the country that are fighting for their right to freedom of choice. New York City just had 300 city employees who are going to be fired, because they refused to get vaccinated. The U.S. isn’t the only one protesting restrictions and mandates. Canada’s Freedom Convoy of truckers has fueled protests across the planet. We are seeing similar actions being taken in New Zealand, Austria, and here in the U.S. These protests against mandates and restrictions, and for freedom, will, in my opinion, galvanize the world on the importance of freedom of choice, and only awaken more people to the dangers of giving up those freedoms.
TV cameras captured a maskless California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom hugging Magic Johnson last night in violation of his own mask mandate.
The video contradicts Newsom's assertion today that he only removed his mask "for a brief second" when he "took a photo." pic.twitter.com/kTOjBOlT0F

Keeping Kids in Masks Will Cost Blue State Governors Votes
All of these government bureaucrats, who claim to follow the science, are not honestly looking at the whole picture. The CDC even came out with a new report that stated natural immunity was far better than getting the jab. That’s clear evidence that States like New York only care about power, when they are not even going to consider natural immunity as a viable solution to getting vaccinated. It is convenient that some of these blue States, that are lifting their restrictions, are doing it during an election year, but that’s just par for the course. I think it’s too little, too late. If Governor Hochul has any chance of winning in November, she’ll get rid of the mandates altogether. But even then, I think she might have a tougher road to getting elected ahead of her, than she might think. Apart from New York City voters, New Yorkers won’t forget that Hochul continued to keep kids masked. I think Hochul has an uphill climb, despite her massive war chest, Democratically controlled legislature, rigged districting maps, and unnecessary universal mail in balloting. I think all those things work against her, and for whoever her opponent will be. The same goes for all those blue State governors that are holding out like Illinois and California. Parents are very protective of their kids, and when politicians like Hochul, Pritzker, and Newsom, are purposely not listening, it will cost them votes.
