Election season will be in full swing, and it looks like the country will be seeing a tidal wave of red come November. Voters are sick and tired of the Federal government forcing their wills on Americans and New York State falls into that same category. There will be an election for the governor of New York State, and a lot of New Yorkers are hoping to turn that into a Republican gain. Governor Kathy Hochul, who took over after Andrew Cuomo resigned, has been just as ruthless and unapologetic in her governing, as Cuomo was, only a little more refined. New York is on a dark path. Hochul’s plans for New York, and her tolerant stance on an out of control New York City, are just a continuation of Andrew Cuomo’s tyrannical rule. If you take New York City out of the picture, New York State is a right of center state. But because of a very left leaning electorate in the city, New York has been a very hard State to turn red. To make matters worse, we have a New York City mayor who is granting voting rights to almost 1 million illegal aliens, is not backing off of DeBlasio’s vaccine and mask mandates, and is now proposing that every school age child be vaccinated for Covid. In addition to that, we have an out of control legislature in New York, that actually had one of its radical senators propose internment camps, for those that were not vaccinated all in the name of public safety. New York needs someone with common sense, conservative values, that will reignite a once powerful state.
We Need a Conservative Governor for New York State
Rob Astorino might be that person that could beat Hochul in the November election. New Yorkers are fed up with their state government using the pandemic as an excuse to control the lives of its citizens. Astorino was a two term executive in the very liberal Westchester county, and garnered support from both Democrats and Republicans. Astorino wants to reunite a New York State where we saw 320,000 New Yorkers leave it last year. He doesn’t believe in the vaccine mandates, wants to dramatically cut taxes that are a barrier to an economic recovery, opposes BLM, doesn’t believe in the current no cash bail for arrested criminals, did not agree with ending the stop and frisk policy in New York City, and is pro life. There are other candidates worth looking at as well, including Lee Zeldin and Andrew Giulani, who would both be better than who we have in the Governor’s mansion now.
Renewable Energies and 0% Emissions by 2030…Really?
On the other side we have a New York State government, run by Kathy Hochul, who is just as tyrannical as her predecessor. In her state of the State address last week, Hochul outlined initiatives that will frankly, gut an already anemic New York State economy. Among those would be legislation to have all new building construction under 7 stories, to be 0% emission by the year 2027. That is only 5 years away. It would also instantaneously destroy thousands of jobs that rely on the fossil fuel economy. Hochul wants all new building construction to be 100% electric by 2030. So, in New York State, in only 8 years, if you want to build a new home, it must be 100% run on electric. Wow. With electric bills some of the highest in the country, those new electric bills might cost as much as a mortgage payment. In addition, Hochul wants to create 100,000 affordable housing units, which would include 10,000 apartment properties, to help low income families and stave off the homeless problem. Where does she want to place, or acquire these affordable housing units? You guessed it…in areas of your community where she is abolishing the current residential density of 12. In other words, more housing will be allowed to be built on fewer acres of land. Hochul is also giving retention bonuses to those healthcare workers that are vaccinated, to help curb a staffing crisis that Hochul helped create through vaccine mandates. And, Hochul wants to address the “climate crisis”, by investing 500 million of your tax dollars into offshore wind manufacturing, so that we can have one third of New York City running on renewable energies by 2030. The list goes on, and probably sounds amazing to her radical left cronies, but is not based in any kind of sound economical reality.
We Want More Power Over Your Lives!
Then we have the Democrat run legislature that seems more and more thirsty for power, as its slate of proposed legislation for this term, borders on tyrannical. First, we had bill A416 proposed by Democratic Assemblyman Nick Perry, which wanted unvaccinated individuals placed in internment camps, because they posed a threat to the safety of public health. Yeah, I’m scratching my head too, thankfully it was pulled. Assemblyman Patrick Burke is proposing legislation that would give health insurance companies the choice to deny someone health benefits based on their vaccination status. Bill A7829/S6495 would mandate the Covid vaccine for all people entering college, bill A279a/S75a would force all adult vaccine records into a state data base, bill A8398 would eliminate religious exemptions from the vaccine mandate for work and college, essentially making the current executive order permanent, bill A3192/S3041, would eliminate a parents’ consent rights to vaccinations when a child reaches 14 years of age, basically allowing your school nurses to administer a Covid vaccine if the child ok’s it, and bill A8378 would require a Covid vaccine to attend all public, private, and parochial schools through age 18. And they are just getting started. The proposed amendments to elections, such as same day voter registration and mail in balloting, that were shot down in November by an overwhelming majority of voters, is now being made into law…thumbing their noses at the voters’ wishes.
Eric Adams Will be Worse Than DeBlasio
Finally, we have a new New York City Mayor who is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Boy, city voters are going to be very upset that they voted this guy into office. Eric Adams will be just as, if not more dictatorial than DeBlasio was. In just his first week, he’s announced that he’s signing off on almost 1 million illegal aliens being given the right to vote, is going to mandate that all school age children get the Covid vaccine, is doubling down on the previous administrations vaccine and mask mandates, and has appointed his brother to be deputy police commissioner because of white supremacy and hate crimes reasons. A job that comes with a $242,000 per year salary. Eric Adams’ brother is currently listed on LinkedIn, as the assistant director of parking at Virginia Commonwealth University, and that job garners anywhere from $72,000-$80,000. Sounds like Bernard will be getting a hefty raise. New York City’s new DA, on day one, sent out a memo, instructing prosecutors not to seek bail or jail time for most criminals. This includes downgrading certain felonies like armed robbery, to misdemeanors. How is this making New York City safer? And where does Kathy Hochul stand on this?
New York State Has a Dark Cloud Over It
One things for sure, you can’t have a prosperous economy if you’re not bringing in any money, taxpayers are leaving your state by the hundreds of thousands, you’re eradicating jobs in the energy sector for new, 0 emission construction, replacing that energy with proven failures like wind, forcing people out of their jobs because they don’t want a mandated medical procedure, and then reward those that do comply with money incentives paid for by the taxpayer, strangle small businesses by forcing them to comply with vaccine mandates, and turn around and defy the voters’ wishes by going behind their backs, and making laws of the very thing the voters soundly defeated. New Yorkers better pay attention, because everything in this article is just the tip of the iceberg. Unless we can elect some common sense, America loving, capitalism loving candidate into the governors office…it’s game over for a prosperous New York State. And with Democrats and Republicans not able to come up with a bi-partisan redistricting map(deadline is January 15th), that will leave it up to the Democratically controlled legislature, thanks to Kathy Hochul, to redistrict New York State. With New York’s population loss, and a loss of a congressional seat, Republicans might only have 3 seats this year as opposed to their 8 of 27. New York State is headed in a very bad direction, and Kathy Hochul is sugar coating it with pie in the sky campaign ads, that are promising a bright future. All I see is a storm coming.
