Apparently, if you kiss someone on the cheek, hold their hand, kiss their hand, and are within six feet, and have Covid, everything’s A okay. According to Jen Psaki, that’s not considered close contact when you have tested positive for Covid. Nancy Pelosi tested positive for Covid this week a day after attending an event at the White House, where she was in close contact with President Biden. No one was masked at this event, including Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi was witnessed embracing President Biden and kissing him on the cheek. When pressed by Peter Doocy of Fox News, Jen Psaki basically said it was a non issue, and that Nancy Pelosi was following contact guidelines issued by the CDC. Jen Psaki is apparently not worried that the President of the United States was in close proximity to someone who contracted Covid. He’s just the leader of the free world.
Hugging and Kissing is No Longer Considered Close Contact
According to the CDC, you have to meet two requirements to be considered in close contact with someone who has Covid.
Was the person less than 6 feet away from someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19? Consider time spent with someone with COVID-19 starting 2 days before the infected person developed symptoms, or the date they were tested if they do not have symptoms, until they started isolation
Has the person been in the presence of someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period?
I’m no expert, but I’m thinking it is a stretch to say Biden wasn’t in close contact. I’m not sure how much closer you have to be than embracing and touching maskless faces. The less than 15 minute excuse is a joke. The CDC even says that a person will more than likely become infected if they were closer than six feet.
COVID-19 spreads when an infected person breathes out droplets and very small particles that contain the virus. These droplets and particles can be breathed in by other people or land on their eyes, noses, or mouth. In some circumstances, they may contaminate surfaces they touch. People who are closer than 6 feet from the infected person are most likely to get infected.

Jen Psaki obviously thinks the average American is stupid. I remember when the left was going insane when Trump contracted Covid and the mainstream media was covering who he was in contact with for days. Hypocrites. What’s even more hypocritical is the fact, that the CDC is recommending the least vulnerable, kids k-12, universally mask up in a school setting. In New York City, Mayor Adams is letting anyone age 5 and older, go maskless, while those under 5…the “super spreaders”…are still forced to wear a mask. Thank God most sane States are not following that guidance. Meanwhile, the geriatric bunch in government are okay not to mask up or worry about shaking hands, hugging, or kissing. You just can’t make this stuff up anymore.
