Unnamed intelligence sources have verified that China launched a hypersonic, nuclear capable, missile around the globe. The Chinese military launched their ‘Long March’ rocket back in August carrying a “hypersonic glide vehicle” into low orbit. In an article from the Daily Mail, the hypersonic missiles can reach speeds of up to 21,000 mph and easily avoid any United States anti-ballistic defense systems. This also begs the question…how will Joe Biden Respond?
“A report from the Financial Times, which cited five unnamed intelligence sources, said the Chinese military launched the Long March rocket in August carrying a ‘hypersonic glide vehicle’ into low orbit. It circled the globe before descending towards its target, which it missed by about two dozen miles. The system would be able to overcome US anti-ballistic missile defence systems that are based in Alaska and set up to shoot down projectiles coming over the North Pole – the Chinese system would be able to strike the US from the south”
The U.S. military was left stunned and wasn’t clear how China managed this military capability. You don’t say? This is also the same military leadership that bungled the Afghanistan withdrawal.
“The incident has left US intelligence officials stunned, sources say, as it shows ‘China has made astonishing progress on the development of its hypersonic weapons. ‘ We have no idea how they did this,’ a person familiar with the test told the FT.
This is a serious development as this new technology will allow China to hit almost any target they want to with no country being able to defend against such an attack. China has claimed that the launch was meant for peaceful exploration of space but one would expect China to say something like that. China is feeling emboldened against a neutered Biden administration that has demonstrated its weakness in response to the Afghanistan takeover by the Taliban and withdrawal.
China’s Launch of a Hypersonic Missile has Increased Tensions
In addition to China, The United States, and Russia, five other countries have been experimenting with hypersonic missile capabilities. There are reports that North Korea have joined the fray and have been developing hypersonic capable missiles as well. China’s experimental launch of a hypersonic missile will only increase tensions in the region not to mention with Taiwan, who China claims as part of their territory. China has been much more aggressive in its rhetoric with Taiwan possibly testing the Biden Administration’s response. The United States and its allies recently sent warships through the Taiwan Straight, in which China responded by claiming that that was an act of aggression against peace and stability for the democratic Taiwan. China ramped up its military presence, around the island of Taiwan, a couple of weeks ago, by having 150 airships sent over Taiwan airspace over a four day period during military exercises. So far, the United States military and its allies, have committed to defending a free Taiwan, but with China and her Russian neighbor joining forces in their saber rattling, tensions are bound to get higher.
Biden is in a No Win Scenario With Taiwan
With the announcement that China successfully launched a nuclear capable, hypersonic missile into low orbit, backs the Biden administration into a preverbal corner and gives them a potential foreign policy nightmare. Both of which the Biden administration can’t afford right now. The tension in that region of the world is palpable right now and the announcement of this new hypersonic missile launch has only increased that tension. The United States needs a democratic Taiwan in that region. But, how Biden navigates his already shoddy record on foreign diplomacy, and with some of our allies already holding Biden in contempt of his duties internationally, the Biden administration seems to be in a no win scenario. If Biden commits to defending Taiwan in the case of a hypothetical invasion from China, how does Biden respond? Does he go to war with China? If that was the scenario, then, because of Biden’s suffocating of the economy, through mask mandates, vaccine mandates, anti-independent energy policy, reliance on foreign oil, inflation, supply crisis’ etc…we would see an absolute collapse of an already teetering economy. China accounts for over 42% of all of our imports from textiles to plastics to metals. So China would have the upper hand and have even more control over us than they do now. If Biden does nothing and doesn’t aid or defend Taiwan, then Biden will all but negate any credibility the United States has left internationally and our enemies would be emboldened to either attack us or one of our allies.
China Has The Upper Hand Right Now
China is taunting Biden with its apparent new arms race. Launching the hypersonic missile into low orbit was just a testament to that. With China’s neighbors feeling a little invincible as well, it looks like Russia and North Korea are going to show us some saber rattling as well. China is showing Biden that they want to be the lone superpower in the world and God help us if that happens. China holds a lot of powerful cards in their hand right now and Biden is showing his tell, through how unpopular he is in the United States and abroad. I’ll bet a lot of Biden voters are missing Trump right about now, I know I am.
