Dark Days Coming for New York

Kathy Hochul is as corrupt a politician as they come, and New Yorkers need to realize, that all this supplanted governor cares about is power. Hochul is a one term U.S. representative, a former Erie county clerk, and was Andrew Cuomo’s Lt. governor from 2014 until he resigned last August.  That is about the extent of her experience in government.  Yet she’s running New York State in the very same manner that Cuomo did…pay to play, and with an authoritarian attitude.  You only have to look at her responses to the Supreme Court’s recent decisions on New York’s conceal carry permit laws and Roe v Wade, or her tyrannical rule during Covid, to know that Kathy Hochul only cares about one thing…and that’s control.  So she fits right in with the democratic mold of rules for thee but not for me, as she makes decisions that cripple New Yorker’s ability to defend themselves, as out of control crime rates plague the state, she tells 5.4 million New Yorker’s to get on a bus and head to Florida because she doesn’t need them, and gets companies no one has heard of, lucrative contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars because they donated tens of thousands of dollars to her campaign. This is just the tip of the iceberg of the dark days coming for New York if Hochul is elected.  But there is a possible light at the end of the tunnel, as Lee Zeldin is looking right at Kathy Hochul in the rear view mirror, with a statistical tie in a recent Trafalgar poll.

If You Donate to Hochul You Will be Rewarded…Apparently

Kathy Hochul was the recipient of tens of thousands of dollars in campaign donations from Digital Gadgets owner Charle Tebele and his wife, on top of the hundreds of thousands of dollars Hochul received from a campaign fundraiser just four days before she declared a state of emergency last November, that saw Hochul unilaterally suspend New York’s competitive bidding laws.  This paved the way for Tebel and Digital Gadgets to procure a lucrative 637 million dollar contract to be a middle man in supplying New York State with rapid covid tests…at double the cost than most other states were paying at the time.  That doesn’t sound fishy at all, does it?  If that’s not suspect enough, Tebele’s son, who is a mere 21 years old, was given a job on Hochul’s campaign as a financial officer.  Hmmm…..nothing to see here folks.  On Thursday, during an interview with the Times Union, Hochul played ignorant, and stated that her staff gave final approval of the contract, and never asked for her consent.  Wow.  637 million of taxpayer dollars was approved by her staff and not the legislature, nor the governor herself, and yet we are supposed to trust Hochul with running New York Sate efficiently?  Not to mention the fact, that Hochul, with the wave of her magic wand, apparently has the power to spend money willy nilly, without asking her legislature?  Power, folks.

Hochul is as Corrupt as Andrew Cuomo

This is just the tip of the iceberg of the questionable things Hochul has done at New York State taxpayer’s expense.  She has used 850 million of taxpayer dollars to help fund a new Buffalo Bills stadium.  A deal that didn’t need to happen, and saw Hochul and her administration fold like cowards, as owners Terry and Kim Pegula threatened to move the franchise elsewhere.  A little shocking given that Terry Pegula has made some of his billions as a petroleum engineer.  This is weird, considering Kathy Hochul is adamantly against fossil fuels, ensuring New York State will be regulated as fossil fuel free in a mere 7 years, not allowing any new cars or businesses to be run on big oil.  Why would Hochul bend the knee to big oil?  In addition to that, Hochul’s husband would potentially benefit from that deal as he is senior vice president and general counsel for Delaware North, the major food concessionaire at the Buffalo Bills’ current Highmark Stadium.  Again…nothing fishy about that…right?  Hochul claimed that her administration would be the most transparent, yet is not pushed on these quid pro quo multi million dollar contracts, by the press.  New Yorkers better be aware that they are being controlled by big donor money, whose only interest is their pockets, rather than what’s good for the average New Yorker.  Kathy Hochul is as corrupt as Andrew Cuomo, in my opinion, if not more, and these pay for play big donor contracts are just some of the examples of blatant corruption, that Hochul has directly played a part.

Hochul Cares More About Herself Than New Yorkers

Hochul has also awarded a company called Medical Answering Services multi million dollar Medicaid transportation contracts. The owners have donated 100,000 dollars to Hochul’s campaign, as well as benefitting for years with questionable lucrative contracts over both Andrew Cuomo’s and Hochul’s tenure’s.  Hochul has been unapologetic with the way she has conducted business as governor.  With the contract with Digital Gadgets, who charged New York taxpayers twice the cost of rapid Covid tests, Hochul has stated, that she would do it again.  I guess she wouldn’t have to worry about it, since she wouldn’t know it was happening anyway, because her staff has got everything under control.  Kathy Hochul promised to be transparent. She has failed in that respect, failing to appropriately, and transparently address questions about alleged pay to play schemes.  She also used Covid as a tool to lockdown New York State in draconian fashion, and only up until recently, ceded her emergency powers…well almost all of them.  Hochul still has the mail in balloting Covid emergency still in effect until the end of the year.  That’s not questionable at all, considering the fact that New Yorkers overwhelmingly voted that down as a ballot proposal last November.  It’s also a desperate action from a governor that cares only about staying in power, rather than doing what’s right for the average New Yorker.

A Big Change is Desperately Needed

If Kathy Hochul is elected in November to a full term as governor, New Yorkers will see a misery index like they’ve never seen before.  The Covid restrictions were just a taste of what New York is in for.  Hochul’s administration will push through stifling Covid vaccine legislation that’s already in committee ready to roll, including a law that will allow anyone 14 or older not to have to notify their parents if they want a school nurse to administer a Covid vaccine.  Along with that, and Hochul’s determination illogically and detrimentally, demand that New York State be emissions free with all new buildings and cars by 2030, and you have a governor apparently bent on destroying New York and its economy.  Oh, and let’s not forget the mass exodus of hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers from the state, because of high taxes and crime that Hochul also refuses to do anything about, with the exception of the occasional grand standing to try and make her look tough on crime.  Kathy Hochul is all kinds of wrong for New York State.  New Yorkers need to go to the polls on November 8th, and send a clear and concise message to Hochul and the radical Democratic legislature that New Yorkers are not going to tolerate the absolute suffocating place to live, New York State has become over the last decade.  A big change is desperately needed, and Lee Zeldin, although not the perfect candidate(who really is), at least stands for conservative values that reflect a majority of the state.  If Thursday’s Trafalgar poll is any indication of things to come on November 8th, Zeldin is within striking distance, with the poll at a statistical tie.  New Yorkers are sick and tired of the hole that New York has become, and want some positive economic change, efficiency, and a handle on crime.
