California has become the first state to require a gender neutral section for toys. In other words, California will require safe spaces in big businesses. On Saturday, Gavin Newsom signed into law, a bill that would require all department stores with more than 500 employees to have a gender neutral toy section. This would mean big box retailers like your Walmarts and your Targets would have to restructure their toy sections to include a gender neutral section. The law, which takes effect on January 1st, 2024, does not outlaw a girl and boy section but would require the additional gender neutral section. Penalties for non compliance are $250 for the first violation and $500 for subsequent violations.
Just Another Power Grab by a Tyrannical Governor
Is anyone in the rest of the country surprised by this at all…no. California is the most radical left state in the country and leads the way in irrational agendas. Gavin Newsom is feeling particularly defiant now that he beat the questionable recall election, so why not double down and get as much stifling, economy busting policies in as he can, right? California has the highest homeless percentage in the United States at 17%, big businesses are taking their companies out of California because of overwhelming tax burdens, 33% of California’s energy must come from renewable sources(unsustainable), and the Pandemic mandates have stifled small business profits. That’s just to name a few. This bill to require a gender neutral toy section, is just another power and money grab by a dictatorial governor who has suffocated California’s potential for the last two years.

“We need to stop stigmatizing what’s acceptable for certain genders and just let kids be kids. My hope is this bill encourages more businesses across California and the U.S. to avoid reinforcing harmful and outdated stereotypes.”
Is he kidding us right now? California…you get what you pay for and I guess this is the kind of insanity you want. So, we are going to place additional stress on big businesses by requiring them to essentially restructure their stores, to accommodate a girl who feels intimidated about buying a boys toy? We’re basically requiring safe spaces be built in stores to relieve the stresses of those who might be scared to walk down an aisle filled with boys toys. This will also force these companies to spend more money on materials and labor, which will, in turn, raise prices on goods for the consumer. How is saying you are a boy or you are a girl harmful to a childs psyche? How is being a boy or a girl stereotypical? It’s a biological fact! Evan Low wants kids to be just kids. If that was the case, he would know that when kids are just left to be kids, all of them will pick a toy based on their biological gender. What Evan Low and Gavin Newsom are doing here, is forcing a psychological choice and forcing kids to think a certain way, in contradiction to a natural biological evolution. With Legos announcement that they were going to remove any reference of boys or girls on their products, we are heading down a slippery slope of not allowing boys to be boys and girls to be girls.
