Hollywood is the rot gut poster child of the direction the left has been taking us for decades. They preach to us from their self proclaimed moral high ground that they know what’s right for everyone, while they do the exact opposite, and try to convince the masses there was “nothing to see here.” Rules for thee but not for me. Hollywood used to be a representation of the potential of America. But that was back when we had movie stars the likes of Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, Clint Eastwood, Joan Fontaine, and Ginger Rogers, who had class, respect, and kept whatever political views they had, out of their movies and out of the view of their fans. What happened at the Oscars Sunday night, was nothing short of an affirmation, to whoever tuned in to see the Oscars, that Hollywood is a hypocritical laughing stock, that does not deserve one single penny of the average Americans hard earned money. Will Smith slapping Chris Rock, and not being arrested by the LAPD, despite Chris Rock not pressing charges, just proves how there are rules for thee but not for me. Will Smith slapping Chris Rock, was a symbol of what the elitist left thinks of our free speech as well. Chris Rock is a comedian, whose job is to make fun of everything and everyone. When Will Smith slapped Chris Rock, he told everyone watching, that it was not okay to say what you want, because he found it offensive. Whose point of view was protected when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock? It was Will Smith’s. Denzel Washington, Tyler Perry, and Bradley Cooper rushed to Smith’s aid, while Chris Rock was left in the dust. It’s shameful, and attests to the absolute backwardness and bubble Hollywood lives in, as the lone curators of the cancel culture left.
Will Smith Got Away With Assault
Will Smith slapped Chris Rock for telling his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, that he couldn’t wait to see her in G.I. Jane 2. The comparison obviously to Pinkett-Smith’s bald head and Demi Moore’s in the original G.I. Jane. Pinkett-Smith suffers from Alopecia, which makes her hair fall out in clumps, resulting in Pinkett-Smith shaving her head. The joke was extremely tame, and could be taken as a compliment, given Demi Moore’s physique in G.I. Jane, and Pinkett-Smith’s similar physique. Well, Will Smith wasn’t having any of it, and decided to defend his wife’s “honor” by slapping Chris Rock up side the head. What Smith did was assault, and he should have been escorted out of the Oscars by security immediately, and placed into police custody. But because Will Smith is part of the regarded elite, he not only didn’t get arrested, but was rewarded minutes later with an Oscar. This is nothing new. Hollywood continually rewards bad behavior, well at least for those that fall in line with the right politics. If that had been Mel Gibson who slapped Chris Rock, Gibson would have been labeled a racist, a white supremacist, tarred and feathered, arrested, and cancelled immediately. But because it was black on black crime, all is forgiven. I give you Chicago as exhibit A, that these Hollywood morons ignore year after year. Where’s the speech decrying the thousands of blacks that are killed each year in that city?

Rules for Thee But Not For Me
Chris Rock is a comedian. The very definition of his job is to amuse people, whether it’s through physical or verbal means. Rock has been doing stand up comedy his entire career. Was Will Smith not aware that Rock was a comedian? Of course not. Smith just had a temper tantrum, and decided that he was going to be a punk and show Chris Rock whose boss. What Smith actually did instead, was prove to millions how weak, immature, and linguine spined he actually is. I mean, big bad Will Smith can’t take a joke at his wife’s expense? Celebrities were making offending jokes to those on the right all night long. Is that suddenly not ok? Rules for thee but not for me. Chris Rock allegedly didn’t even know that Pinkett-Smith had Alopecia, which makes Will Smith look even more like a simp. Chris Rock was the true man at the Oscars, and took Will Smith’s slap in the face like a champ, despite no one seeing if he was okay. Rock continued unabated, and came out the true hero in this altercation.
Remember When You Could be Offensive?
Events like the Oscars, used to be a place where fans of celebrities and their movies, could escape, have fun, and route for their favorite movies. Now it’s become a cesspool of preaching down to the masses about how horrible they are, because they aren’t doing their part to save the planet, or standing up for LGBTQ rights, or exclaiming their guilt for being white. I remember watching old Oscars, where you would have Don Rickles making fun of every celebrity under the sun, and everyone having a good old laugh about it, or Rich Little going into the audience and doing his various voice interpretations of celebrities, and everyone having a hearty chuckle. Not anymore. If you’re not preaching for the right cause, you’re nothing more than an offensive tool who needs to be cancelled.
Nothing But Adult Pretenders
Will Smith’s abhorrent behavior at the Oscars, was proof positive, just how much our culture and society have fallen. It was also evidence of how the left actually feels about crime in our country, and was an assault on the freedom of speech. The left and Hollywood, have been on this binge, that criminals who burn down buildings, burglarize small businesses, and assault people in open daylight, should just get a slap on the wrist, told they were being naughty, and released with a wag of the finger. I Give you the BLM riots of 2020, as exhibit B. Many of these celebrities donated to defending and paying for these violent criminals to be released. Will Smith’s assault on Chris Rock was the representation of that philosophy, on full display for the world to see. Will Smith’s slapping of Chris Rock also showed millions, that you’d better shut up, or face the consequences if someone doesn’t like what you have to say. It also showed millions, that you will get rewarded for bad behavior and having a blatant disregard for someone’s right to speak freely and have an opinion…whether you like it or not. If will Smith was actually a man, he would have apologized to Chris Rock for his inexcusable behavior, in front of those millions of viewers. Yet instead, he decided to play the coward card, and cower in the arms of his fellow adult pretenders.
