In a new new twisted way to ensure kids 12 and up are getting vaccinated, NYC mayor Bill De Blasio and Marvel have teamed up to help fight the scourge that is Covid-19. In what can only be described as an issue of Marvel’s Super Villain Team Up, NYC and Marvel are bribing teens with a limited edition of the Avengers comic book. Kids can pick up the comic book if they get their vaccination at one of three SOMOS community care locations. De Blasio started his morning briefing by enticing kids to get vaccinated with the limited edition Avengers comic book.
“It’s come to my attention that younger New Yorkers do not watch my morning briefings. I was shocked by this information, so we decided we’d better get some help. We reached out to Marvel. Starting this week, kids can get an exclusive, exclusive issue of the Avengers when they get vaccinated. That’s a really cool incentive.”
De Blasio the went on to explain why it was so important to get the vaccine.
“Now, for all of you who want to remember why this is so important: Captain America started out as a skinny kid from Brooklyn, okay? So, skinny kid from Brooklyn becomes a superhero, you, too — to all my young viewers — you too can become a super hero if you get vaccinated. It makes you strong. It makes you invincible. Well, maybe not invincible — it makes you strong. It makes you able to fight back against evil. It makes you able to take on COVID, COVID is like Thanos. Let’s give this a really important metaphor here. COVID is like Thanos, out to hurt millions of people around the globe. You need to team up with the Avengers to fight and win.”
Mayor De Blasio Wants to be a Dictator
I’m sorry, but that’s just sick. This mayor will stop at nothing to gain full and total control of all of New York City’s resident’s lives. Now you have an authority figure on TV talking to kids and encouraging them to have a medical procedure with the promise of a cool prize if they get it. In addition to that, he sweetens the deal by telling kids that you could be a superhero and compares Covid to Thanos who snapped half the Universe into non existence. Really, Mayor De Blasio…that’s a stretch. Not only that, we are asking parents to let their kids get a vaccine that they DON’T need. Kids are exceptionally resistant to Covid and most of the time show no symptoms. How are parents going to react to this? I would be pissed if my Mayor was doing this. What about those parents that don’t believe in getting the vaccination because of personal beliefs, religious exceptions, or medical conditions.
More Left Leaning Propaganda in the Form of a Bribe
Finally, why is Marvel doing this? There are probably a plethora of answers but Marvel is no stranger to infusing radical left leaning propaganda into their comic books. That’s why no one reads them(That’s a story for another day). But, more importantly, Disney is the parent company of Marvel and are holding Marvel up financially. I wonder who paid for this debacle…was it Disney, was it the taxpayers of New York, or was it a combination of both? Either way it’s disgusting and for a company like Disney who purports to be neither left leaning or right leaning is questionable at best. In a shareholders meeting back in March, Bob Chapek responded to a shareholders question on Gina Carano’s firing.
“I don’t see Disney as “left-leaning or right-leaning,” and, instead, stands “for values that are universal: values of respect, values of decency, values of integrity, and values of inclusion. And we seek to have the content that we make reflective of the rich diversity of the world we live in. And I think that’s a world we should all live in harmony and peace.”
I know Bob has to say this, but Disney’s programming doesn’t stand up to the “we play it neutral” game at all, and this limited edition Avengers comic book is just another politically fueled notch that Disney can mark on their belt.
