The LGBTQ community would have you believe that it’s criminal and offensive, that educators in Florida not be allowed to teach your kids about gender studies and sexual orientation. But, Disney offering its subscriber based streaming service, to almost a dozen countries and places that ban homosexuality and transgenderism, is apparently okay. Disney is actively working to repeal Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill, while at the same time, launching Disney+ in 10 explicitly anti-gay countries and regions. Some of these places would have you thrown in jail, chemically castrated, or executed for any kind of gay activities. A bill that allows parents control over what their kids are exposed to, however, crosses the line. I thought Disney was against discrimination in any form. Nothing to see here, right Disney. Definition of hypocritical anyone? This is just proof that Disney could care less about the LGBTQ community, and more about lining its pockets with profits.
Disney+ is Launching in Countries That Will Have You Executed For Being Gay
Disney is set to Launch Disney+ into 42 new areas in Europe, Asia, and West Africa, from may to June of this year. 11 of those places have strict anti-gay laws. Those 11 places include Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Yemen, and the region of Palestine. Many of these areas will sentence anyone convicted of homosexual acts to lengthy jail sentences, hard labor, or exuberant fines. But, in places like Saudi Arabia or Yemen, you could be chemically castrated or executed. In addition to that, Disney sails its cruise ships to the Southern Caribbean islands of Antigua, Dominica, and St. Maarten, all of which have outlawed gay marriage and homosexual activities. If you are convicted with any of those crimes, you could wind up in jail for several years. Finally, China bans any depictions of gay people on television. So how does Disney square a Florida bill that protects 4 year olds from gender studies, with the abuses and laws that prohibit LGBTQ activity in countries and areas that Disney will soon be streaming?

Stay Out of Politics, Get Back to Storytelling
The Disney Corporation is a hypocrisy of the highest order, and is dishonest with its true intent. They only care about their image here in America, but need to ensure profits internationally to support the grift. Americans are wise to Disney’s nefariousness, and will not tolerate it. For example, Ryan Keating, an economist, and Disney shareholder, told Bob Chapek on his website dinseybizjournal.com, to quit the politics and get back to storytelling.
“Here’s a suggestion for Disney CEO Bob Chapek: Get back to business, that is, excellence in storytelling, and stop wasting shareholder’s money on political crusades that have nothing to do with Disney’s business.”
“Disney’s management succumbed to political pressure from activists on the Left, and now it’s getting hit from the Left and the Right. If I weren’t a shareholder, I’d find it amusing.”
Families are beginning to boycott Disney, and with good reason. Disney is getting backlash from every direction, because they thought taking the side of a radical few was the right course of action. Disney forgot about the millions of families that want to sit back, relax, and escape into the wonderful world of Disney. But instead, Bob Chapek and Co., have decided to dive head first into the shallow end of the pool of politics, taking the side of a very few, that don’t represent the whole of Disney employees, nor the public. Bob Chapek thinks, that by taking the side of the lunatics on the left, he is somehow securing Disney’s image, when in fact, all he is doing is tainting it. Disney launching Disney+ in countries like Saudi Arabia and Yemen, who will execute you for homosexual activity, is a banner for how little they care for the LGBTQ community.
Disney Should be in the Business of Making Money…Period
Disney doesn’t have a social responsibility to anyone. They are in the business of making money from the entertainment they provide. When Disney decided to take a side, and especially a side that only represents 1% of the population, they blatantly turned their backs on the very customers and history, that helped make Disney a legend. By Disney picking a political side, they have quite literally put themselves under a microscope for all to investigate and dissect. If Disney and Bob Chapek really meant what they said, when they said the were again discrimination in all forms, then they would come out against those 11 countries and regions that support the jailing and execution of gay individuals. They won’t, though, just like they wouldn’t when they thanked China for their help with ‘Mulan’, which was filmed next to a Muslim Uyghur concentration camp. All the skeletons and hypocrisies will be coming out of a closet that Disney always wanted closed. For a company who is very guarded and secretive about their business practices and properties, they have just exposed themselves to a very public audit. An audit that will find Disney liable for their own possible self destruction.
