The Joe Rogan controversy continues, as calls for him to be removed from Spotify, due to an Instagram video clip that had Rogan repeatedly using the N-word, are heating up. This, in conjunction with celebrities who want Rogan cancelled for spreading “misinformation” around Covid-19, and Joe Rogan has found himself slapped right in the middle of cancel culture at its finest. Joe Rogan has apologized profusely, cowered in the face of censorship, and buckled as he voluntarily took down over a 100 of his past podcasts. Rumble, on the other hand, has reportedly offered Joe Rogan 100 million dollars to bring ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ over to their free speech, anti censorship loving platform. But, did the situation that Joe Rogan finds himself in, even need to happen? Well, it probably would have happened, but Joe Rogan should have told cancel culture to stick it. Joe Rogan fanned the flames, and helped create this four alarm fire, when he could have just told the social media mobs to go cry somewhere else. That’s what his fans would have expected him to do, because he was always that voice that didn’t care what everyone else thought. But now, Joe Rogan has, in some ways, let his fans down, and Joe Rogan is partly to blame.

Joe Rogan Should Never Have Bent the Knee
Yes, Joe Rogan used the N word, and it’s a horrible racial slur, and should never be used. But, the Instagram video took his use of the word completely out of context, just like most cancel culture mobs do. In order to push the narrative of Rogan getting cancelled, this 30 second video of Rogan’s use of the word, is played in such a way, that mindless social media twits will lap it up, and join the fray, chanting for Rogan’s cancellation, instead of actually doing their own homework. Rogan was saying the word in historical reference to past celebrities like Red Foxx, Richard Pryor, and Quentin Tarantino, who have used the slur on TV, stand up routines, and in their movies. It was in no means purposely meant to be racist, but because of this 30 second montage, the mindless drones will fall into lock step, calling for Rogans demise. Rogan of course apologized, but that only furthered the cause for him to be cancelled. In an Instagram post on Saturday, Rogan apologized, and claimed he wasn’t racist, and wasn’t being racist, when he was referencing the slur. But, one thing you can never do to the cancel culture mob, is apologize, because to them, that legitimizes that you are wrong and why you are being cancelled. Joe Rogan of all people should know this, but has decided to bend the knee and take his licks.
Joe Rogan Folded Like a Cheap Suit
The moment Joe Rogan was targeted for cancellation, should have been the moment Joe Rogan stood up and said he wasn’t going to tolerate it, and just said no. Rogan had all of the cards in his hands and decided to fold. Was it for the money? Was it because Joe Rogan really believed he was wrong? Or is Joe Rogan just a fraud, who deceived his audience into believing he was this stalwart of free speech and anti censorship, when in fact he was just another glory hungry celebrity who needed attention? All speculation, but one things for sure, Rogan just made things worse by apologizing. What Joe Rogan should do, is take Rumble’s offer from CEO Chris Pavlovski, of 100 million dollars to go over to a platform that doesn’t censor or cancel its creators. Joe Rogan owns his podcast, and doesn’t need Spotify. If I were Joe Rogan, I would have found it insulting that Spotify had decided to cave as well, and cower in the face of adversity, instead of standing up for free speech. Spotify has revealed its true colors, as a promoter of diversity and inclusion, that now feels the need to promote those that have been “historically marginalized”. Just another company that shows it only cares about the color of ones skin, rather than the character or talent. Quantity over quality never works, and in the long run, just like so many other companies are finding out, get woke, go broke.
Is Joe Rogan the Real Deal?
Joe Rogan’s apologies over Covid misinformation and the use of the N word were not justified. If the people trying to cancel Joe Rogan actually thought he was racist, then they would have cancelled Rogan a long time ago. If the left in Hollywood or the mainstream media actually thought Rogan was a racist, then why have they not cancelled their own in the past? Why is the left not calling for the immediate cancellation of Whoopi Goldberg for her racist remarks about Jews, or New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams for calling himself better than his Cracker colleagues, or for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Governor Ralph Northam of Virginia for wearing blackface? Why hasn’t the left tried to cancel Joe Biden, Madonna, or Gwyneth Paltrow for using the N word in the same context that Joe Rogan did? Because the left isn’t serious, and only targets those on the right that challenge their narrative. If the left in Hollywood and the mainstream media were actually serious and offended by Joe Rogan’s “racism”, then why haven’t they had an honest discussion around the context in which he used the N word from that 30 second sound-byte? Because that is not what matters. What matters to the left is conformity of the masses into their right think, and Joe Rogan didn’t fit that paradigm. Joe Rogan was a threat that needed to be neutralized. As a result, Joe Rogan has been made to conform, and it’s a sad thing to watch, because Joe Rogan was a man that always stood his ground and spoke his mind. Now we’ll be watching and wondering if Joe Rogan will be telling us what he actually thinks about Covid, will ever have “controversial doctors” on again, or will he even be that interesting anymore, because he’s been muzzled. Either way, Joe had a shot to control the narrative, and put all of the onus on Spotify, and make them blink. But, Rogan didn’t, and now the fans are left wondering if Joe Rogan is actually the real deal.
