Disney’s trust among Americans is waning according to a new survey by Issues and Insights. The survey which interviewed 1,305 adults across America, found that 41% of Americans don’t trust the house of Mouse. This is concerning since Disney has been a staple of Americana and family values for almost its entire history. Disney’s deep dive into politics, and more recently, Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill, has shown an increasing divide between Disney and the average American. The survey becomes even more concerning for Disney when you look at Independents surveyed, who thought Disney was untrustworthy by a majority 52%. For most Americans, Disney used to be a neutral destination for parents and their children to escape and have fun. Now families are subjected to forced LGBTQ+ representation from their park visits to movies and TV. With Disney executives promising to inject most of their programming with LGBTQ+ narratives, and ignore traditional family values, Disney is one balancing act away from losing their majority consumer…parents and their families.
Disney Has Picked the Wrong Side
The Survey started by asking the participants if they were following the story around Disney Employees who were opposed to Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Bill. Of those asked, 47% said they weren’t following the story closely vs 43% who said they were. The survey then dug into those that were following the story closely, and asked them how much trust they had in Disney creating programming for their children. 54% of those that were following the story closely, said that they trusted Disney with programming for their children vs those who did not. 41% or 4 in 10 Americans, either had little or no trust at all with Disney producing content for their kids. That’s not good for a company that has been touted as the purveyor of all things pure and innocent for our children. What’s even more alarming from that survey, is that 70% of Republicans, and 52% of Independents had no trust in Disney producing content for their children. Disney has been making their politics known for quite some time, but Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Bill, has firmly placed what side of the aisle Disney lands on, and it is only going to hurt them in the long run.

Disney’s Brand is at Risk
Disney standing against a parents right to talk with their 4 year olds about gender identities and sexual orientation, is a huge miscalculation on their part, and the Issues and Insights survey proves that. With 4 in 10 Americans not trusting a company geared towards children, is alarming to say the least. Disney, on more than one occasion has been branded as a trustworthy company and brand. This Issues and Insights survey says that all of that might be at risk. But that risk might already be in the rear view mirror, as Disney has made it quite clear that they are standing with the activists in the LGBTQ+ community, and are blatantly ignoring the majority of parents that watch their programming, or visit their theme parks. Bob Chapek has groveled at the feet of these activists within the company, and vowed to do better, and there is video after video, of executives determined to inject children’s content with LGBTQ+ narratives. LGBTQ+ narratives that should be discussed between a parent and their children, and not be taught or propagated by Disney.
NEW: Disney executive producer Latoya Raveneau says she identifies as a "bi-romantic asexual" and that she wants to "use [her] content" at Disney to educate children about "the pockets of the LGBTQ community that you don't see," such as the asexual community. pic.twitter.com/gNJ0CItgqV

Disney Should Not be in the Business of Teaching Kids About Adult Topics
This affront to parents sole right in their children’s moral authority, has resulted in congressional Republicans talking of not approving the expiring copyrights of Steam Boat Willie Mickey Mouse and Tigger from ‘Pooh’s House on the Corner’, Ron DeSantis and the Republican legislature taking away Disney’s self governed autonomy, and House Republicans taking away Disney World’s tax loopholes. Bob Chapek and Disney have opened a can of worms, that will overwhelm them if they don’t get a dose of common sense quickly. Parents are already up in arms about CRT, mandates, and their kids being taught about very adult topics in the classroom without their approval. How does Disney think parents are going to react to watching Disney programming openly promoting LGBTQ+ agendas to their children? The Issues and Insights survey only proves how much trust Disney is losing among Americans. If liberal governments being kicked out of traditionally blue States, because of their radical takeover of kids education, is any indication, Disney has a huge battle ahead of them that they won’t win. Messing with a parents child is taboo, and Disney promising more adult topics in their kids programming, is a recipe for disaster.
