Bob Chapek has lost whatever control and respect he had at Disney. Bob Chapek, speaking at Disney’s “Reimagine Tomorrow” summit, basically threw in the towel, and surrendered whatever control he had as CEO to the LGBTQ+ community. He groveled, apologized for his inaction, and committed to doing better for this extremely small percentage of the population. Chapek has let an activist mob take over Disney to its detriment. Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill was just a catalyst for the activists inside the company to come forward and take over. This is a coup d’état from within, and Disney has surrendered willingly. The executives inside the company, specifically those in charge of the content you watch, are on a mission to teach your kids about sexual orientations and gender identities, parents be damned. Parents, kids, and their families, are the ones that fuel Disney’s economy. One can imagine that Disney is no longer going to be their brand of choice, while others like Universal, salivate at Disney’s eventual demise.
Disney Will be Basing All Their Future Business Decisions on Feelings
Chapek issued his gutless and pathetic apology, by promising to take action now by working with his direct reports and the LGBTQ+ advisory council on ways to better represent the LGBTQ+ community.
“I’ve read many emails that have been sent, spoken with LGBTQ employees and their allies, met with advocacy groups, and convene my own leadership team, and I have been taken by the honesty, the openness, and the urgency of their stories.”
“I want you to know that your words have made a real impact on me. I understand that we’ve made mistakes, and the pain of those mistakes have caused, and I know that our silence wasn’t just about the bill in Florida, but about every time an individual or institution that should’ve stood up for this community.”
“I am convening a meeting with all my direct reports and representatives of the Advisory Council to discuss the thoughtful suggestions that have been made,” he concluded. “But we know the moment requires urgency and words are not enough, so we are taking some actions right now.”
What pain and what mistakes? Can anyone point to any physical evidence that Disney employees were physically harmed or harassed because of their way of life? I used to work for this company, and chose to keep silent about my beliefs, because I was a conservative, and disagreed with Disney’s diversity and inclusion agenda. Where’s my reciprocity? It sounds like some feelings got hurt by an intolerant minority, that thinks their point of view is the only point of view, and everybody else can go scratch. There is no turning back now for Chapek or the Disney Company…it’s gone. This can be backed up Karey Burke, Disney’s President of General Entertainment Content, saying that same day, that they are actively targeting Gen Z and Millenials, because her son told her Gen Z is 30-40% queer, and that “she better get with it”. Does Karey Burke know the facts at all, or is she blinded by the fact that she has two kids that are LGBTQ+ adults? Sounds to me like she’s basing all of her decisions on emotion, rather than what’s good for the company. Latoya Raveneau, a Disney Executive at Disney TVA, stated in that same video, that she wants to use her content to educate children about “the pockets of the LGBTQ community that you don’t see”. Raveneau prefaced all this with her personal experiences and emotions.

Chapek is a Rabid Animal Cornered in a Mess of His Own Making
The problem Disney is going to have, is that their content going forward, is going to be biased to a very small portion of America. Now that the majority of America’s parents know that all of Disney’s content is going to be overtly laced with LGBTQ+ content, how is that going to entice parents to bring their little kids to watch that content. Bob Chapek has completely slammed the door in the faces of the majority of the population and sided with determined activists within the company. Activists that are no longer hiding their intentions, and are proudly admitting what their plans are for the content your kids watch. Maybe Bob Chapek is going all in, because he knows this will be a death knell for the company. Maybe. Disney’s stock keeps dropping, so maybe that’s the plan. Chapek is a rabid animal cornered in a mess of his own making, and is just trying to cover his own ass. Whatever the reasoning, Disney is now basing all of their business decisions from a place of personal politics, experience, and emotions. That’s not how you run a multi billion dollar company, and not how you appeal to everyone.
