Dr. Strange will be killed off and I’m sure Kevin Feige is very excited as another strong white male in the Marvel Universe will be eliminated. Disney and Marvel have been on a quest to rid the MCU of its white male characters in favor of appeasing a social media minority that Disney continues to claim is their audience. Dr. Strange is no exception. Dr. Strange will be killed off in September in ‘Death of Dr. Strange’ #1 which will be part of a five issue mini series. And, as we know that Marvel has been writing comics to follow the movies since Disney’s take over of Marvel in 2012, this will allow Kevin Feige, Marvel, and Disney to tell the fans that they are, of course, following the comic books so fans be damned.
Marvel Will Use the ‘Death of Dr. Strange’ to Role Out a New Improved Dr. Strange that Checks all the Mandatory Boxes

characters. But characters in the MCU and Marvel comics, specifically, are being race or gender swapped to support a woke political ideology that alienates half of its audience. Half of that audience being white males that want to read or see the characters that they grew up with not destroyed to appease the other half that really doesn’t care. Marvel will use the ‘Death of Dr. Strange’ as an excuse to role out a new improved Dr. Strange that is either female, a person of color, or a member of the LGBTQ community. It will be another comic that fails just like when they made Thor female, or Captain Marvel female. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with having strong female leads in your comic books or movies…just look at Black Widow, Gamora, or Scarlet Witch. I would watch stand alone movies or read their comics all day long. Why? Because those are established comic book characters that fans have a vested interest in. I would be having the same argument, for example, if Kevin Feige decided he needed to replace Black Widow with a gay man of color because Black Widow as a female was being insensitive to that particular group and therefore was not fair. It’s just ridiculous and unnecessary. Stop appropriating our beloved characters and make some of your own that fit and check all the boxes that you need to make you happy.
You Can’t Have a Powerful White Guy in you TV Shows or Movies
Killing off Dr. Strange also fits nicely into Marvel and Kevin Feige’s plan that excluded Dr. Strange from appearing in ‘WandaVision’. In May, in an article from Rolling Stone magazine, Feige made it blatantly clear that Marvel was not interested in Dr. Strange being a part of ‘WandaVision’. Feige basically said that there couldn’t be a powerful white guy in ‘WandaVision’ because it would have over shadowed Wanda’s character.

“Some people might say, ‘Oh, it would’ve been so cool to see Dr. Strange,’” says Feige. “But it would have taken away from Wanda, which is what we didn’t want to do. We didn’t want the end of the show to be commoditized to go to the next movie — here’s the white guy, ‘Let me show you how power works.’” That meant the Dr. Strange movie, too, had to be rewritten. In the end, Feige says, Marvel’s process is “a wonderful combination of very dedicated coordination, and chaos. Chaos magic.”
It’s funny and dishonest how Kevin Feige says he didn’t want the end of ‘WandaVision’ to be commoditized to the next movie. He must think we are really that stupid. The MCU was all about commoditizing to the next movie. That’s how, for the most part, all of the MCU’s movies were a success. Marvel and Kevin Feige tied all the movies together. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dr. Strange was treated as an afterthought in ‘Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness’. If he’s going to be killed off in the comics why not just use that as the excuse to make him insignificant in his own movie. They are doing it in ‘Loki’ and ‘Thor Love and Thunder’ why not complete the routing and do the same to one of the most intelligent superheroes in the Marvel universe.
Disney Doesn’t Know Their Audience Anymore
Disney continues to ruin the characters we all grew up with all to appease a fraction of the populace that cares more about being heard rather than the deep affection fans have for these well established characters. In an article from MediaIte, Disney isn’t hiding their intentions anymore and even stated so back in April when Walt Disney Television’s chairman of entertainment Dana Walden admitted on a ‘women in Focus’ panel, that they are purposely passing on well written scripts because they lacked diversity. One script was really good but they passed on it because it was centered around a white family.
“I will tell you for the first time we received some incredibly well-written scripts that did not satisfy our standards in terms of inclusion, and we passed on them,” Walden told Women in Focus panel moderator Janice Min.
Walden recalled her reaction to a script that centered around a white family. “Pass,” she said. “That’s not going to get on the air anymore because that’s not what our audience wants. That’s not a reflection of our audience, and I feel good about the direction we’re moving.”
In addition to that, The Hollywood Reporter published ABC’s inclusion standards which basically state that Disney is no longer in the business of quality storytelling but rather the numbers game and checking off inclusion boxes.
The guidelines included were: “meaningful integration of Underrepresented Groups in overall themes and narratives,” and “ongoing meaningful integration of Underrepresented Groups in episodic themes and narratives.”
Disney doesn’t even know who their audience is anymore. The fans and audience alike are getting very fatigued from the lectures and preaching in our entertainment and it is showing in a big way. None of their new Marvel TV shows have been breakout hits, other than ‘WandaVision’, but that was in the first episodes and then it fell flat. I predict, that when the next four Marvel movies hit theaters this year, is when Marvel and Disney will see what is happening. But, by then it will be too late because Disney has backed themselves into a very tight woke corner that is going to be extremely hard to get out of let alone get the fans back that once supported a very lucrative MCU. The MCU will fall the way of Star Wars and Game of Thrones and they will be scrambling and scratching their heads on how to make the MCU profitable once again. ‘Death of Dr. Strange’ will be an end to a legendary character for the Marvel universe but we will always have back issues and 2016’s Dr. Strange to remember him by.
