Governor Ron DeSantis is a no nonsense take action kind of governor. He calls balls and strikes like an umpire on a mission. And that mission is drawing the blue prints for the rest of the country. In other words, Ron DeSantis is a common sense governor, that all States should emulate. This week, Ron DeSantis made it very clear that he was going to protect the interests of all Floridians, and more importantly, rights of parents and their kids from indoctrination. This week, Ron DeSantis called a special session of Florida’s legislature to allow the house to pass bill HB3C, which eliminates the Reedy Creek Improvement District, a 50 yr-old special statute that makes Disney exempt from laws faced by regular Floridians. Florida’s house passed HB 3c, and with the passing of senate bill 4c, and Ron DeSantis’ signature Friday, Disney’s special self governing privileges, along with 5 other special districts will be removed as of June 1st, 2023. This is a big win for Floridians, and more importantly a big win for the Republic. Governor Ron DeSantis made it clear, that corporations will not run his State, and demand changes that conflict with the majority of Florida’s population.
Disney has Made Some Bad Choices
The Disney corporation was held to account Friday, and told in no uncertain terms, that they were a guest in Florida, and should abide by the wishes of Floridians, parents and their children. The dissolution of the Reedy Creek Improvement Act is a big blow to Disney, as they are no longer exempt from certain tax privileges, will be under the jurisdiction of Orange and Osceole counties, and have seen their stock tank by 23% since January. In addition to that, Disney has lost almost 34 billion since March 28th, as they decided to stand with their LGBTQ+ activists within the company, and against parents and their children…who are their primary customer base. By obsessively committing to inserting LGBTQ+ themes into most of their children’s programming, Disney and Bob Chapek have made the wrong choice. Bob Chapek might end up being the unfortunate scapegoat in all of this, as Disney tries to pick up the pieces to their self inflicted mess, but Bob Iger should be the one held to account. Though that will never happen, Iger is the one who incited and groomed the kind of behavior we’ve seen from Disney and its activist employees over the last several years.
I'm with the President on this! If passed, this bill will put vulnerable, young LGBTQ people in jeopardy. https://t.co/fJZBzre4yM

Ron DeSantis is a Man of the People
But that’s not the only thing Ron DeSantis accomplished this week. He also signed into law a bill banning critical race theory from being taught in schools and at the workplace, and announced that he was going to find ways to hold Twitter’s Board of Directors accountable for breaching their fiduciary duty by activating a “poison pill” to thwart Elon Musk’s attempted acquisition of the company. With that, and the signing of the 15 week abortion ban, makes Ron DeSantis a governor not to be trifled with. Ron DeSantis is a man of the people. He is fearless in his actions, and welcomes the challenges of those actions, of which there will be plenty I’m sure. The left and the mainstream media were predictably unhappy, with activists like Joy Reid of MSNBC saying that Ron DeSantis was going to make Disney World a living hell.
“Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is determined to make the happiest place on Earth a living hell. Baby MAGA is mad that Disney opposes his ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, so, today, the Florida Senate voted to revoke the privileges that have allowed Disney World to govern itself since the theme park opened its glittery doors. Meaning, the Trump-y Republican governor who signed anti-gay and anti-trans legislation designed to censor and punish educators “erase the existence of people’s lives is going after this private company who dared to contradict him because A: he’s an authoritarian on the fascist spectrum and B: he thinks it will make him president.”
Don’t hold back Joy, say how you really feel about Ron DeSantis. That hateful rhetoric just means Governor Ron DeSantis hit a bullseye, and most rational and sane Americans are grateful that he did.
