After Time magazine chose billionaire Elon Musk to be their person of the year, the radical left newspaper The Guardian, decided they needed to conduct their own poll of who would be their person of the year. The Guardian wasn’t prepared for who would take the lead in the poll, and showed us once again how pathetic the left can be. The Guardian’s person of the year was J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter books. In typical fashion, the left that run that outfit, couldn’t handle the fact that someone as outspoken about her beliefs as Rowling is, would be the frontrunner. So, instead of acknowledging Rowling, who is no friend to the right as well, The Guardian took down the poll, stating that they have deactivated the link and are no longer accepting submissions. How very cowardly Guardian. This only means that they will probably pick someone that more fits their radical left wing agenda, or won’t post anything at all. But are we surprised at all…nope. It’s hysterical when the left begin to eat their own…it’s a testament to how no one is allowed to have an opinion on anything.
Rowling Won’t Back Down
J.K. Rowling has come under fire in the last couple of years, for social media posts she’s made surrounding trans people. In a tweet from 2019 defending Maya Forstater, who was fired from her job for tweeting “men cannot change into women”, Rowling tweeted: “Dress however you please. Call yourself whatever you like. Sleep with any consenting adult who’ll have you. Live your best life in peace and security. But force women out of their jobs for stating that sex is real? #IStandWithMaya #ThisIsNotADrill”. Rowling immediately faced backlash for having an opinion and stating fact, including from Harry Potter stars, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. People who would never have had the fame and celebrity they enjoy now, were it not for J.K. Rowling. Then, in July of 2020, Rowling insisted that children are being pushed into hormones or surgery by health professionals, and called it a kind of conversion therapy. A couple of weeks ago, Rowling came under fire again for a tweet about new police rules in Scotland(where Rowling resides), that state if a man who simply identifies as a woman, rapes a woman, then he’s a woman. Rowling responded with a twist on a line from Orwell’s 1984.
“War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength. The Penised Individual Who Raped You Is a Woman”

Many, myself included, believe we are watching a new kind of conversion therapy for young gay people, who are being set on a lifelong path of medicalisation that may result in the loss of their fertility and/or full sexual function. 5/11

J.K. Rowling is Not the Problem
The support for J.K. Rowling is undeniable and her stance on freedom of speech is admirable. I don’t agree with much of what J.K. Rowling stands for, but I do stand for her right to say it. Her unwavering stances on what she believes in, despite the death threats, doxxing, and twitter backlash, are an example that all should follow, whether you agree with Rowling or not. That’s how it’s supposed to be. But, people like Danielle Radcliffe, and Emma Watson are too young and ignorant, apparently, to understand how important freedom of speech is and what it means for the sanity of our society. I would encourage them to have the courage to really educate themselves on the topics, instead of just regurgitating what the mainstream thinks they should. Take a risk, and have a critical thought of your own, or you might just be cancelled one day yourself. J.K. Rowling has got my vote for person of the year, whether The Guardian has the courage to say so or not.

Funniest thing I saw on the Internet in 2021?
I'd say the Guardian deactivating their "Person of the Year" survey because JK Rowling was going to win. https://t.co/BlLYexJ1q1— Isaac de Tormes, VII Marqués de Vichón (@Isaac_de_Tormes) December 28, 2021
