Sean Penn is on the Job!

Sean Penn is on the Job!

I think Sean Penn was hired by the Biden administration to coerce people into taking the vaccine.  But don’t worry…Sean Penn is on the job folks!  And clearly not too soon as he makes his way from talk show to talk show advocating for vaccine mandates.  In an interview with CNN’s Michael Smerconish, Penn said that he believed that everyone should be vaccinated and he thinks it should be mandatory.  He stated that it should be mandatory like turning your car headlights on at night.

“I do believe that everyone should get vaccinated. I believe it should be mandatory like turning your headlights on in a car at night but obviously that’s not going to happen tomorrow and yet — at least it can happen in some areas and businesses, a lot of businesses are starting to take the lead on that.”

Penn then related not getting the vaccine to having a gun pointed in your face

“I have some areas of strong belief in the Second Amendment, but I think that you need to recognize how, with something like this, you can’t go around pointing a gun in somebody’s face, which is what it is when people are unvaccinated.”

Sean Penn is Obsessed With Getting Everyone Vaccinated

Sean Penn has been on an obsessive tour circuit, it would seem, about the vaccine and how he thinks it should be mandated.  In an appearance on Stephen Colbert’s show recently, Penn responded to a question from Colbert about his returning to the Watergate scandal show ‘Gaslit’.  Colbert was referring to the headlines that Penn made stating that he wasn’t returning to the show unless everyone who worked on that show was vaccinated.  Penn blamed the Hollywood Unions for not mandating the vaccine across the board.

“I think at the end of the day the problem is with cowardly union leadership in many cases.  I think most people, like your audience, are rational.  Once the genie of rationality got out of the bottle from that void in leadership in the beginning of this thing, it’s become an embedded identity politic kind of radical libertarianism that truly doesn’t understand that the entire history of our country’s independent spirit is because of its recognition of the importance of interdependence.”

At the premiere of his new movie ‘Flag Day’, Penn asked unvaccinated people to not see his movie.

“Here I am promoting a movie that’s going to be, thanks to MGM, showing for an exclusive period of time in cinemas. But I have to say that I do request people who are not vaccinated, don’t go to the cinemas.  Stay home until you are convinced of these very clearly safe vaccines. We’ve normalized this notion of radical libertarianism and it really is a violation of the idea of interconnectedness.  Independence cannot live without interdependence, and that’s what vaccines are. Vaccines are a great movement of interdependence.”

You Can’t Compare Mandating the Covid Vaccine to That of Other Mandated Vaccines

Boy I wish he would stop saying that interdependent line.  Penn needs to stop comparing the freedom and founding principles of this country to that of getting the jab.  Forcing someone or mandating someone to get a medical procedure is antithetical to the spirit of America.  Can states and businesses mandate it…there’s court cases in the past that have said that that is so.  But, is it right?  In my opinion, it is not.  Some might argue to the anti vaxxers that the MMR vaccine is mandated for school children before they enter the system.  In a great article from National Review by Philip Klein, he writes that comparing the two is a false narrative.

“For one thing, widespread mandates for measles shots did not begin until 1977, well after the release of the first measles vaccine in 1963. In contrast, COVID-19 vaccines have been with us for less than a year. While there is good reason to believe they are safe given that billions of people have now taken them, trepidation is more understandable for a vaccine that is less than a year old (and for which long-term effects aren’t yet knowable) than for one that has been around for decades.”

Safety and efficacy trials for the Pfizer vaccine are not set to be completed until May 2, 2023.  Mainstream media will report that those safety and efficacy trials almost always take place long after a vaccine is FDA approved.  That is true but proving the point stated earlier with the measles vaccine.  It wasn’t mandated for school children until 14 years after it was first introduced.  Klein continued with the second reason you can’t compare the MMR vaccine with a mandatory Covid Vaccine.

“For another thing, MMR vaccines generally apply to schoolchildren. But those discussing COVID-19 passports are discussing a system in which people are excluded from a wide range of activities based on whether or not they get vaccinated. Nobody is asked to show proof of MMR vaccination before going to a restaurant or the gym. (There is, to be clear, a distinction between private businesses demanding their customers demonstrate their vaccination status, and what is happening in New York City, where proof of vaccination is a government requirement for a variety of indoor activities.)”

Klein goes on to argue that there is a difference when it is mandated that you get two shots and you are done for life vs being mandated to get a shot every six months.  It just doesn’t fly in the face of common sense.

“It’s one thing to say to people, as is the case with MMR, that they get two shots and they are done for life. It’s another thing if they have to get a shot every six months for the rest of their lives. If this is the case, how does government institute a mandate or passport system? Will people have to show not only that they have received at least one dose, but that their most recent dose was within six months? Doing so would not only be impractical, but would require a level of surveillance that would be without precedent in the U.S.”

Why is the Federal Government Pushing so Hard For a Mandatory Vaccination?

President Joe Biden

The Federal government doesn’t mandate the Flu Vaccine every year do they?  And there is a good reason for that.  The Flu vaccine is not 100% effective against Flu virus because there’s always a new variant to combat.  How can you mandate a vaccine for a virus that might constantly change.  Israel, for example, was at the forefront of utilizing the vaccine and now has been forced to give booster shots for those originally vaccinated.  For example, going back to Sean Penn comparing getting the vaccine to turning your car headlights on is night and day when it comes to a federally mandated universal need. Being forced to put unknown chemicals into your body is a drastically different scenario and doesn’t pass the universal mandate test. The question that needs to be asked is why are celebrities, politicians, and the federal government pushing so hard for everyone to 100% get this vaccine?  Most people I know are not against vaccines but they are for freedom of choice.  Why are celebrities and the federal government rushing for us to get a vaccine against a virus that obviously has the ability to mutate much like the Flu virus does?  Why not let Americans have their freedom of choice and when it has been deemed safe over years of tests and trials, and we have perfected it, to the best of our ability, then maybe let states make that choice on whether to mandate it or not.  This push for a mandatory Covid Vaccine is suspicious and, in my opinion, another grab at how much the citizenry can be controlled.

Putting Unknown Substances Into Our Body is a Free Choice

In an interview over at Newsmax, Ben Carson summed up how vaccine mandates are not good for a free America.

“The mandating of vaccines could shape a terrible future, the really important thing here is for us to recognize that this is America that we’re living in.  This is a place where people came so that they could be free. And the whole concept of mandates, no matter how wonderful you think they are, are opening the door to something that could be pretty terrible in the future.”

Carson believes vaccines are good but the mandates for vaccines are not.

“they’re very good.” Vaccination mandates, however, are not.  And if activists try to steer people ”in one direction or another by parceling out certain types of information, it makes them even more suspicious.”

Sean Penn and other celebrities are using their clout to try and convince people that taking a vaccine, that has not been thoroughly vetted, is a good thing for the “safety” of everyone around you.  By cherry picking facts or using cute analogies to compare taking the vaccine to is just deceitful on a variety of levels.  The American people deserve to feel safe in something that’s going to be injected into their body.  It’s a personal, free choice, that the government has no right dictating.
